The Head of The Church is Christ - La Cabeza de La Iglesia es Cristo

THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH. "... the Orthodox Church cannot acknowledge yet another head of the Church, a single earthly head, a"substitute for Christ on earth", a "deputy for Christ," a "vicar of Christ", or a "vice-Christ." 

All these titles-"deputy", "vicar" of Christ - are completely foreign to the word and spirit of Sacred Scripture and the tradition of the ancient Church. The Orthodox Church rejects both the very principle of a vicariate of Christ and all those syllogistic constructions that were created by the Roman authority and its theologians to justify unlimited power in the Church and to impart the force of Divine authority to the power of the bishop of Rome. It is quite evident that acknowledgement of a second head of Christ's Church violates the idea of the unity of the Church: the Church on earth, without the one in Heaven, becomes a self-sufficient organization, finished from top to bottom needing only the mystical transmission of God's grace by the Holy Spirit. This is the organization centered on the bishop of Rome, having its fulfillment in him. And the more strongly the chain of logical constructions reinforcing the idea of the papacy, the higher the wall dividing the earthly organization of the Roman Church from the one heavenly/earthly House of the Church of God becomes.

LA CABEZA DE LA IGLESIA. "... la Iglesia Ortodoxa no puede reconocer a otra cabeza de la Iglesia, una sola cabeza terrenal, un "sustituto de Cristo en la tierra," un" diputado de Cristo, "un vicario de Cristo "o un vice-Cristo." 

Todos estos títulos - "diputado", "vicario" de Cristo - son completamente ajenos a la palabra y al espíritu de la Sagrada Escritura y a la tradición de la Iglesia antigua. La Iglesia Ortodoxa rechaza tanto el principio mismo de un vicariato de Cristo como todo esas construcciones silogísticas que fueron creadas por la autoridad romana y sus teólogos para justificar el poder ilimitado en la Iglesia y para impartir la fuerza de la autoridad divina al poder del obispo de Roma. Es bastante evidente que el reconocimiento de una segunda cabeza de la Iglesia de Cristo viola la idea de la unidad de la Iglesia: la Iglesia en la tierra, sin la del Cielo, se convierte en una organización autosuficiente, acabada de arriba abajo necesitando sólo la transmisión mística de la gracia de Dios por el Espíritu Santo. Esta es la organización centrado en el obispo de Roma, teniendo su cumplimiento en él. Y cuanto más fuerte es la cadena de construcciones lógicas que refuerzan la idea del papado, más alto se vuelve el muro que divide la organización terrenal de la Iglesia Romana de la única Casa celestial / terrenal de la Iglesia de Dios.
