Ecumenism is παναίρεση panheresy (universal heresy)

The holy Fathers of the first three centuries in general… 

My dear Christians, I do not have enough time to tell you many characteristics about the Fathers of the first three centuries. I will tell you only two or three and I ask you to pay close attention. 

In the beginning, my Christians, in the first three centuries, our Christian brothers were persecuted. These are years of persecution. Rivers of blood of the heroes of our faith. The first years showed that the garment of our Church is very red (with blood), as a troparion says: "our Church is adorned with purple and fine linen." But despite the horrible persecutions, the Church was never afraid, but gathered its children in a secret place, often underground (the catacombs) and all together they celebrated the worship of Christ God. And not only this, they also psalmodied, in another previous kerygma we have seen the hymns that the Christians of the first three centuries sang.

(b) But these Christians not only developed worship, but also theological teaching. That is to say, the reason for the development of theology in the first three centuries has been the appearance of heresies. The heresies in these years came from three currents. One current was Judaism, which did not recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Another current came from Hellenic philosophy. The followers of this current sought to mix philosophical concepts from the ancient Greeks with Christian teaching. And the third current that brought heresies was from the eastern religions.

The Holy Fathers of the first three centuries, with the wisdom of God that they had in abundance, and with many struggles, faced these three heretical currents to keep our faith pure, unstained, or influenced. Our faith, my brothers, does not accept any, but none, mixture of the teaching of Christ and the holy Apostles with another teaching. Of course, the Holy Fathers of the first three centuries and the following centuries after them, took from Hellenic philosophy and used only the expression or terminology, as a garment, with which they dressed their kerygma and their theology. But different ideas and concepts, foreign to the teaching of Christ, have been rejected by the Church since the first three centuries. Because our faith is like the eye. Does the eye accept a hair inside? No! So also the Holy Fathers of the first three centuries, and the later Holy Fathers imitating them. They fought a lot and were guardians so that not even the slightest foreign teaching was introduced into our faith.

My fellow Christians, when I talk to you about “Ecumenism”, it is what we have said before. “Ecumenism” means that together with our faith we also put Judaism, Papism, the Eastern religions and the philosophy of the ancients, and make a salad or alloy, to supposedly embrace the whole world. Please tell me: is this “παναίρεση (panéresi) panheresy or universal heresy” or not? My Christians, the holy Fathers of the first three centuries, although they were threatened by Caesar's razor, and fighting with a thousand and one difficulties, they fought to keep the faith clean and thus handed it over to us. It would be shameful and a great betrayal for us to alter our faith with the sophistry and charlatanism of “ecumenism.” We were born Orthodox, we drank Orthodox milk and we will die, yes, we will die Orthodox. Many times I speak to you about ecumenism, because it is necessary for us Bishops and preachers of the divine logos to do so today, because we are in danger from this satanic work more than ever today. Current ecumenism in those first three centuries was called “syncretism.” Those who support ecumenism today, especially some of them with habits (patriarchs, bishops, clerics, priests) read the struggles of the Fathers of the first three centuries against the ecumenisms of their time, that is, syncretism.

 

(c) In the period of the first three centuries of our faith we also have the holy Apologists. This, dear Christians, is what I told you before. As our faith was persecuted and many wanted to present the teachings of the Hellenic philosophers as equivalent or superior to the teachings of the Prophets and Apostles, the Apologists appeared. They wrote great magnificent texts and with these they demonstrated the greatness of Christ's teaching; and that the mind and philosophical nus cannot reach upon the divinely inspired teaching of the Prophets and Apostles. Finally, of all the admirable Fathers of the first three centuries, we express our admiration for the form and theology of Saint Ignatius the Theophorus (God-bearer), who with everything he writes, expresses the warmth of his heart for the love of Christ. and his strong longing for the Divine Communion of the Body and Blood of Christ. This Father tells us to lovingly love Christ (Christ is my eros, he says), the heart that has nothing worldly, nothing material, and yet that we vitally long for Christ and witness with martyrdom if necessary for Him. All this, my Christians , we will achieve it if we have correct faith and turn a deaf ear to “heresies”. Yes, Saint Ignatius and all the holy Fathers of our Church: “We do not turn a deaf ear” to heresies, just as you tell us, we anathematize them; and we curse them, as another great Father, Saint Cosmas of Aetolia, especially loved by us Hellenes, told us: “You must curse the Pope,” he told us. As disciples of the Holy Fathers we curse the Pope and Ecumenism. Because, as Orthodox Christians we know that “Paperism is heresy and Ecumenism is παναίρεση (paneresi) pan-heresy or universal heresy, the greatest, most dangerous and worst of all time.

Los santos Padres de los tres primeros siglos en general…

Queridos cristianos míos, no tengo tiempo suficiente para deciros muchas características sobre los Padres de los primeros tres siglos. Os diré sólo dos o tres y os ruego que pongan mucha atención.

En principio, cristianos míos, en los tres primeros siglos, nuestros hermanos cristianos eran perseguidos. Son años de persecuciones. Ríos de sangre de los héroes de nuestra fe. Los primeros años demostraron que la prenda de nuestra Iglesia está rojísima (de sangre), como dice un tropario: “nuestra Iglesia está adornada de púrpura y de lino fino”. Pero a pesar de las horribles persecuciones, la Iglesia nunca tuvo miedo, sino que reunía a sus hijos en un lugar secreto, muchas veces bajo de la tierra (las catacumbas) y todos juntos celebraban el culto a Cristo Dios. Y no sólo esto, también psalmodiaban, en otro kerigma anterior hemos visto los himnos que cantaban los cristianos de los tres primeros siglos.

(b) Pero estos cristianos no sólo desarrollaron el culto, sino también la enseñanza teológica. Es decir, el motivo para el desarrollo de la teología de los tres primeros siglos ha sido la aparición de las herejías. Las herejías en estos años provenían de tres corrientes. Una corriente era el Judaísmo, que no reconocía a Jesús Cristo como Mesías. Otra corriente venía de la filosofía helénica. Los seguidores de esta corriente buscaban mezclar conceptos filosóficos de los antiguos Griegos con la enseñanza cristiana. Y la tercera corriente que trajo las herejías fue de las religiones orientales.

Los Santos Padres de los tres primeros siglos, con la sabiduría de Dios que tenían en abundancia, y con muchas luchas, afrontaron estas tres corrientes heréticas para mantener nuestra fe pura, sin manchas, ni influenciada. Nuestra fe, hermanos míos, no acepta ninguna, pero ninguna, mezcla de la enseñanza de Cristo y de los santos Apóstoles con otra enseñanza. Por supuesto que los Santos Padres de los tres primeros siglos y después de ellos los siguientes, tomaron de la filosofía helénica y utilizaron solamente la expresión o la terminología, como prenda, con la que vestían su kerigma y su teología. Pero ideas y conceptos distintos, ajenos de la enseñanza de Cristo, la Iglesia los ha rechazado ya desde los tres primeros siglos. Porque nuestra fe es como el ojo. ¿Acepta el ojo un pelo en su interior? ¡No! Así también los Santos Padres de los primeros tres siglos, e imitando a ellos los posteriores Santos Padres. Lucharon mucho y fueron guardianes para que no se introdujera en nuestra fe alguna enseñanza extranjera, ni la más mínima.

Cristianos míos, cuando os hablo sobre el “Ecumenismo”, es esto que hemos dicho antes. “Ecumenismo” significa que junto con nuestra fe poner también el Judaísmo, el Papismo, las religiones orientales y la filosofía de los antiguos, y hacer una ensalada o aleación, para supuestamente abrazar a todo el mundo. Decidme, por favor: ¿es o no es «παναίρεση (panéresi) panherejía o herejía universal» esto? Cristianos míos, los santos Padres de los tres primeros siglos, aunque fueran amenazados por la navaja del Cesar, y combatiendo con mil y una dificultades, lucharon para mantener la fe limpia y así nos la entregaron. Sería vergonzoso y una gran traición para nosotros alterar nuestra fe con sofismas y charlatanerías del “ecumenismo”. Hemos nacido Ortodoxos, hemos bebido leche ortodoxa y moriremos, sí, moriremos Ortodoxos. Muchas veces os hablo sobre el ecumenismo, porque es necesario que hoy lo hagamos nosotros los Obispos y los predicadores del divino logos, porque peligramos de esta obra satánica más que nunca hoy. El ecumenismo actual en aquellos tres primeros siglos se llamaba “sincretismo”. Los que hoy apoyan el ecumenismo, sobre todo algunos de ellos con hábitos (patriarcas, obispos, clérigos, curas) estos que lean las luchas de los Padres de los tres primeros siglos contra el ecumenismos de su época, es decir, el sincretismo.

(c) En el período de los tres primeros siglos de nuestra fe tenemos también los santos Apologetas. Es esto, queridos cristianos, lo que os decía antes. Como nuestra fe estaba perseguida y muchos querían presentar las enseñanzas de los filósofos Helenos equivalentes o superiores que las enseñanzas de los Profetas y los Apóstoles, aparecieron los Apologetas. Ellos escribieron grandes textos magníficos y con estos demostraban la grandeza de la enseñanza de Cristo; y que la mente y el nus filosófico no pueden alcanzar sobre la enseñanza de inspiración divina de los Profetas y los Apóstoles. Finalmente de todos los admirables Padres de los tres primeros siglos, expresamos nuestra admiración a la forma y la teología de san Ignacio el teóforo (portador de Dios), quien con todo lo que escribe, expresa el calor de su corazón por la agapi a Cristo y su fuerte anhelo para la Divina Comunión del Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo. Este Padre nos dice amar amorosamente a Cristo (Cristo es mi eros, dice), el corazón que no tenga nada mundano, nada material, y aún que anhelemos vitalmente a Cristo y testimoniar con martirio si hace falta para Él. Todo esto, cristianos míos, lo conseguiremos si tenemos fe correcta y hacemos oídos sordos a las “herejías”. Sí, san Ignacio y todos los santos Padres de nuestra Iglesia: “No hacemos oídos sordos” a las herejías, tal y como nos decís, las anatematizamos; y las maldecimos, como nos ha dicho otro gran Padre, san Cosme de Etolia, especialmente amado por nosotros los helenos: “Al papa tenéis que maldecir,” nos decía. Como discípulos de los Santos Padres maldecimos al Papa y al Ecumenismo. Porque, como Cristianos Ortodoxos conocemos que “el Papismo es herejía y el Ecumenismo παναίρεση (paneresi) pan-herejía o herejía universal, la más grande, la más peligrosa y la peor de todos los tiempos.
