Paschal Message - Mensaje Pascual

 

ENGLISH:

“Pascha, the Passover of the Lord, from death to life, and from earth to heaven, Christ God led us!” (1st of the Paschal canon)

From the first centuries of Christianity to today, the most brilliant feast of Christ’s Resurrection has always been lived with joy in the hearts of all people. The great Father of the Church, St. Gregory of Nyssa, wrote in the fourth century: “Now the righteous rejoices and the sinner expects to be corrected by repentance, and there is no sad person who finds no consolation in the celebration of the feast of Easter.” This is the greatest of all holidays – the Triumph of celebrations – and is the center of our Orthodox Christian faith. Every Sunday we confess our faith in the Risen Savior.

Today, unfortunately, the excessive passion for the blessings of this world, the desire for honor and glory and the lack of deep faith, patience, humility, true love, mercy and truly good actions have spread among the people. God and the Church take the last place. It is known by history that tolerance of sorrows and diseases has always been a reminder to man that life is God’s great gift to people. In the trials that come upon us, we see how inconstant and unstable is the earthly life of man.

But God’s mercy is limitless. If we return to God and bring Him repentance from sins, love the Risen Savior with all our conscience, and bring to Him our love and good deeds, then the Lord will accept the repentance of every repentant person. The Word of God teaches: “For I do not want the death of the sinner, says the Lord God, but that the sinner should turn from his way and live.” (Ezekiel 33:11). And the Lord Saviour Himself in the Holy Gospel says, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Matthew 9:13). Before Holy Communion we say the following words of prayer: “You are truly the Christ, the Son of the living God, who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first.”

On these holy holidays, we will spread our love to all, forgive everyone, pray especially for those who are sick, for those who do their medical duty and, risking their lives, help others. May the Merciful Lord send to them and to all of us His strengthening grace, wisdom and help!

Christ is risen!

I cordially congratulate all the South American flock entrusted to me by God, and all Orthodox Christians, for the brilliant feast of the Resurrection of Christ, I pray for the health and salvation of all of you. I wish everyone peace, joy, mutual Christian understanding, good health, eternal salvation and the endless help of God in this earthly and temporary life.

Truly Christ is risen!

May the grace of the Lord and Savior Risen Jesus Christ and my archpastoral blessing be with you all.

ESPAÑOL: 

“¡Pascha, la Pascua del Señor, de la muerte a la vida, y de la tierra al cielo, Cristo Dios nos guió!” (1º del canon pascual) 

Desde los primeros siglos del cristianismo hasta hoy, la fiesta más brillante de la Resurrección de Cristo siempre se ha vivido con alegría en el corazón de todos los hombres. El gran Padre de la Iglesia, San Gregorio de Nisa, escribió en el siglo IV: “Ahora el justo se alegra y el pecador espera ser corregido por el arrepentimiento, y no hay persona triste que no encuentre consuelo en la celebración de la fiesta. de Pascua”. Esta es la más grande de todas las festividades – el Triunfo de las celebraciones – y es el centro de nuestra fe cristiana ortodoxa. Cada domingo confesamos nuestra fe en el Salvador Resucitado.

Hoy, lamentablemente, se ha extendido entre el pueblo la excesiva pasión por las bendiciones de este mundo, el deseo de honor y gloria y la falta de fe profunda, de paciencia, de humildad, de amor verdadero, de misericordia y de acciones verdaderamente buenas. Dios y la Iglesia ocupan el último lugar. Es sabido por la historia que la tolerancia ante los dolores y las enfermedades siempre ha sido un recordatorio para el hombre de que la vida es el gran regalo de Dios para las personas. En las pruebas que nos sobrevienen, vemos cuán inconstante e inestable es la vida terrenal del hombre. 

Pero la misericordia de Dios es ilimitada. Si volvemos a Dios y le traemos el arrepentimiento de los pecados, amamos al Salvador resucitado con toda nuestra conciencia y le traemos nuestro amor y buenas obras, entonces el Señor aceptará el arrepentimiento de cada persona arrepentida. La Palabra de Dios enseña: “Porque no quiero la muerte del pecador, dice el Señor Dios, sino que el pecador se aparte de su camino y viva”. (Ezequiel 33:11). Y el mismo Señor Salvador en el Santo Evangelio dice: “No he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores al arrepentimiento” (Mateo 9:13). Antes de la Sagrada Comunión decimos las siguientes palabras de oración: “Tú eres verdaderamente el Cristo, el Hijo del Dios vivo, que vino al mundo para salvar a los pecadores, de los cuales yo soy el primero.”

En estas fiestas santas difundiremos nuestro amor a todos, perdonaremos a todos, rezaremos especialmente por los que están enfermos, por los que cumplen con su deber médico y, arriesgando su vida, ayudan a los demás. ¡Que el Señor Misericordioso envíe a ellos y a todos nosotros su gracia fortalecedora, su sabiduría y su ayuda! 

Amados en Cristo y honorable clero, hermanos y hermanas, que el eterno saludo pascual caliente vuestros corazones y entre en vuestros hogares, llenándolos de fe, esperanza y amor:

¡Cristo ha resucitado! 

Felicito cordialmente a todo el rebaño sudamericano que Dios me ha confiado, y a todos los cristianos ortodoxos, por la brillante fiesta de la Resurrección de Cristo, rezo por la salud y la salvación de todos vosotros. Les deseo a todos paz, alegría, comprensión cristiana mutua, buena salud, salvación eterna y la ayuda infinita de Dios en esta vida terrenal y temporal. 

 ¡Verdaderamente Cristo ha resucitado! 

Que la gracia del Señor y Salvador Jesucristo Resucitado y mi bendición archpastoral esté con todos vosotros.
